 4th Annual Arkhaios Film Festival

A Rich Tapestry of World Cultures

The Coastal Discovery Museum brings the event to Hilton Head Island SC

October 20-22, 2016


Hilton Head Island -- The Arkhaios Film Festival is pleased to announce the 4th Annual Arkhaios Cultural Heritage and Archaeology Film Festival will take place at Coligny Theatre on Hilton Head Island SC, USA on October 20-22, 2016.  Tickets for the event are available online at www.coastaldiscovery.org or by calling 843-689-6767 ext. 223. Pricing is $20 for a 3-day pass to the films, $10 per day pass, or $5 per film.

 The Coastal Discovery Museum is dedicated to making a difference in the way people think about and interact with the environment, history, culture, and art.  In collaboration with the South Carolina Institute of Archaeology and Anthropology (SCIAA) at the University of South Carolina, we are proud to bring the Arkhaios Film Festival to Hilton Head. 

The Film Registration period for the 2016 Arkhaios Film Festival is now closed. Filmmakers from all over the world have registered their films. Here is a sample of the topics submitted, covering a rich tapestry of World Cultures:

The Screening Committee is now ready to screen all registered films to determine the Official Selection which will be announced at the end of August and presented at the Festival.

Film Festival Tickets Available for Purchase on Coastal Discovery Museum Website



Hilton Head Island, SC, USA -   The 4th Annual Arkhaios Cultural Heritage and Archaeology Film Festival will take place over 3 days, October 20, 21 and 22nd, 2016. In collaboration with the South Carolina Institute of Archaeology and Anthropology at the University of South Carolina, the Coastal Discovery Museum is proud to bring the festival to Hilton Head Island.

Tickets are $20 per person for a three day pass, $10 per person for a daily pass, or $5 per film. Tickets can be purchased on the Coastal Discovery Museum website at http://www.coastaldiscovery.org/event-registration/?ee=4398. Tickets are limited to the first 200 per film, and will also be available at the door during the Film Festival.
  
2016 Arkhaios Cultural Heritage and Archaeology Film Festival is partnering with two hotels to serve as official host Hotels: The Beach House Hilton Head Island, and the Holiday Inn Express Hilton Head Island, both located near the Coligny Theater.


The Beach House Hilton Head Island, is nestled in the sand on Coligny Beach just a 10-minute stroll from Coligny Theater where the Film Festival takes place. The newly enhanced Beach House welcomes guests with its casual beach charm and offers an authentic beach experience.
The rate negotiated for Arkhaios is $129.00 per night for standard non-smoking room, plus $18 resort service fee – no breakfast – in room coffee plus local and occupancy taxes. Quote is good until August 20 and then it will be released. The block code for the group rate is ARK.
