7th Annual Arkhaios Film Festival
4 Days, 14 Films, 11 Countries, & 12 Cultures

2019 Columbia, SC Schedule



Pittsburgh, PA -  The Arkhaios Film Festival is pleased to announce that the 7th Annual Arkhaios Cultural Heritage and Archaeology Film Festival will take place October 10-13, 2019, at the Richland Library Main, 1431 Assembly Street, Columbia, SC 29201. However the Friday October 11 session will be held at Senate’s End in the 300 Senate reception hall, hosted by The Greater Piedmont Chapter of the Explorers Club.

The festival will screen films Thursday October 10 from 6:30pm to 8:30pm, Friday October 11 from 2:00pm to 4:15pm, Saturday October 12 from 10:00am to 5:45pm, and Sunday October 13 from 2:00pm to 5:45pm. All events are free and open to the public.

The Arkhaios Cultural Heritage and Archaeology Events corporation is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization producing the Arkhaios Film Festivals in South Carolina, and in Pennsylvania.

The multi-day Arkhaios Cultural Heritage and Archaeology Film Festival is an annual juried competition, part of the annual States Archaeology Month. It is free, open to the public, and is an educational event showcasing the discovery of past cultures often gained from archaeological research and illustrated through documentary films.

The Arkhaios Film Festival is sponsored in South Carolina by the South Carolina Institute of Archaeology and Anthropology (SCIAA) and the Department of Anthropology of the University of South Carolina, the Greater Piedmont Chapter of The Explorers Club, and private individual donations, and in Pennsylvania by the Department of Anthropology of the University of Pittsburgh, the Allegheny Chapter #1 and the Ohio Valley Chapter #22 of the Society for Pennsylvania Archaeology.

Pittsburgh, PA -  The Arkhaios Film Festival is pleased to announce the 3rd Annual Arkhaios Cultural Heritage and Archaeology Film Festival taking place November 2-3, 2019, at the Frick Fine Arts Building, Schenley Drive, Pittsburgh, PA.

The festival will screen films Saturday November 2nd from 4:00pm to 8:00pm, and Sunday November 3rd from 1:30pm to 6:00pm.
