Becoming Singapore
Versailles Rediscovered

Directed by native Rapanui filmmaker Sergio Rapu, the film explores the dilemma his people are facing.

Crafted as a story passed down to his newborn son, Sergio intertwines the authentic history of the island with the stories of four islanders.

In their own voices, these Rapanui reveal the reality of modern life and the actions they are taking to preserve their culture and environment amidst rapid development.

Who could penetrate 300 metres inside a cave in the South-West of France to build structures composed of more than 400 broken stalagmites? At what time? And above all, why? Since the discovery of the cave in 1990, this amazing architecture has never revealed its secrets.
In 2014, a team of researchers decided to return there, hoping to finally solve the enigma of the Bruniquel cave. For four years, we followed them in their investigation.
Alongside them, we witnessed one of the most important archaeological discoveries of our time.
And the Neanderthal man is the hero.
